One of the homonymous gardens and the picturesque canal of Tolentini, Hotel Papadopoli Venice is both a novelty and confirmation

A change of name to remain the reference point of modern Venetian hospitality. The historic Hotel Sofitel Venice becomes Papadopoli Hotel in Venice, becoming part of a new and exclusive collection of the group Accor.
The new name of the hotel, which has 97 rooms and suites, recalls the adjacent gardens Papadopoli, who in turn take the names of former owners, a rich merchant family of Greek origin, they were to remove the existing buildings and exploit monastic orchards and gardens by planting fruit trees and mulberry trees. In 1834 the gardens were redesigned by the painter and set designer Francesco Bagnara, and in the years following, hosted memorable festivities.
The hotel furniture reflects the splendor achieved by the Venetian Republic, in particular during the eighteenth century Venice. Sober and elegant, the Papadopoli Venice Hotel enjoys a picturesque view of the canal Tolentini and is surrounded by green gardens of the same name, which overflow inside through the charming winter garden, the work of Master Peter Porcinai. Between the freshness of exotic plants found space and tables, always finely drawn, the restaurant is renowned in Venice for the cuisine and atmosphere strict confidential: an experience not only in taste but also of the spirit.
The coffee-bar Salotto Veneziano has a rather prestigious history, as a forum for lively cultural meetings, attended by artists and intellectuals of the city. Its visitors can be inspired by the volumes of the library devoted to the theme of travel, while a corner was dedicated to Corto Maltese, the character created by the pencil of the master of comic Hugo Pratt, habitual frequenter of the hotel during his stay in Venice. The famous and charming sailor was spent inside the “Campiello Corto Maltese”, which reproduces in detail typical Venetian squares: the walls of the houses where the bricks noticeably discovered, small windows with flowers, the typical lace, and even a cat faces.
The services are guaranteed high level, with maximum comfort, with exclusive services available to their guests such as private motorboat and the Golden Keys Concierge.
A unique feature of Papadopoli Venice is its position among the most functional of the lagoon city, near the Canal Grande, near the Bridge of the Constitution - is involved in glass and steel of the renowned Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava - colleague that within a few minutes with the hotel logistics hubs to Piazzale Roma and the railway station. With just a few steps to bite in the lattice of culture, art and history of Venice, the Scuola Grande di San Rocco frescoes by Tintoretto and the Church of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari with the ‘Assunta’, a masterpiece of Titian and the Scuola Grande dei Carmini reflects the work of Tiepolo.
