The Zen museum in New York
The candor of the “New Museum of Contemporary Art” is a spot light on downtown Manhattan. Shining from the building (controversial) by the Japanese duo SaNaa, housing this cultural establishment of New York. Whose vocation is to give voice to the most innovative, independent and counter-tendency artists
It has been inaugurated only on December 1 2007 but, much before opening its doors, had already joined the list of places symbols of contemporary art. This is the fate of the New Museum of Contemporary Art of New York, an establishment backed by thirty years of history, whose new path is linked to the building housing it. A space of seven floors totaling 5,500 square meters or 60,000 square feet, standing as the first building entirely dedicated to art and built anew in the downtown Manhattan area, at number 235 of Bowery Street.
